Round & round it goes
Where it stops nobody know.
Time & time again
I muster up the strength from falling
To hit the road running
But I end up stalling
I'm wiped but I can see further
Than I have seen in ages
I might be new at this
I might be nieve
But I can see her standing
At the tunnels end
In the light
Under the sun
With a warm and relieving smile
I'm sure
I have no doubt
This time it's real
I don't have to shout
My heart been through the ringer
But the wonder in the air lingers
The scent of possibilities of a future
With someone who's so gentle and kind
She makes me feel alive
And she gives me hope
That one day things will work out
I'll be free from this clenching rope
In her eyes
In those awestruck eyes
She cares like no other
Her generous spirt lifts so many
She takes nothing for granted
She has a humble heart
And a beautiful smile
With that long straight hair
With those eyes of blue
She can look through you
She sees and feels all those emotions
And captures it.
Locks it.
Narrates it.
Then performs it.
And I love it.
Not for anything else than
Her heart and smile
And whit and smile
She lifts me up
When I was running
Like a chicken without a head
She pulled me out of my misery
And put feelings back into my heart
It's because of her that I am now
Who I am and growing
For the first time in my life
I don't feel alone and isolated
She gives me strength
To push through the pain and madness
She gives me hope
And strength to face each and every day this day forward
To feel, to see, to not be afraid
Not be afraid of my abstract way of perceiving my surroundings
I found a gentle spirit
Similar to mine
Wanting to make those around her
See and feel those feelings
That can be described
Only in ways without words
How can you express your feelings
without verbally speaking what's on your mind
There's a time and there's a way
When everything will fall into place
I'll be able to let my guard down
To be able to confide in her
In just one other
And not feeling like I need to......

What's in-store for my life?
As I sit in front of the piano reflecting, and just pondering, I gently pull notes out of thin air.
Trying to recall where my fingers should fall to phrase a simple melody, and sustain it as a commonality throughout.
This being a lot harder than said.
I always was use to just playing whatever wherever my fingers would fall that sounded melodically pleasing.
I never had a structured way of playing, I would just play.
As the two hours pasted I slowly began to remember how to harmonically and melodically sync the two.
But how could I apply that to one of the songs I have written.
I just played the chords and quietly began hesitantly singing the words and humming the vocal melody.
It slowly progressed and as the time passed I became more comfortable singing my song.
"I like this'"I was thinking," and with all the keys layed out in front of me I began to experiment with the melody.
And for some odd reason, my voice was more comfortable and relaxed.
I wasn't straining and forcing the lyrics, it began to feel natural, soothing, steady..
I wasn't exactly sure of all the words but I substituted the unknown word with a simple humming of the melody.
I'm glad I was recording most of the time, now I can go back and listen to what I constructed.
I was starting to remember how to play the piano again!!!
It has been many years since I opened the cover to the keys, it just sat dormant for years upon years, I can actually say it has been over 10 years since I last sat at the piano and played.
It was a place of refuge.
Only now I had a purpose and a path to walk down.
Not only was the piano a writing tool, it was an experimenting tool, to refine the basic melody I sang to the guitar.
"I could get use to this," I though to myself.
But one thing loomed overhead, had I discovered this rekindled enjoyment of the piano to lat?
It pulled me out of my somber mood, it slowly started to feel natural again, but... am I to late?
Did I lose that opportunity to apply what I rediscovered to my arsenal.
I was learning how to construct a song, first came the lyrics or poems and rhymically phrase it, then make up a chord progression on the guitar that felt fresh, lay down the lyrics to a melody within the chord progression.
Figure out a tempo and sync the roughly written song to a settempo.
Now with the piano I can spice it up a hair.
I am beginning to finally structure definitive songs.
I had had a formula I could work with and it all flowed together naturally.
I was applying all of my strengths together to solidify solidly based songs.
But am I to late to the party, is my opportunity done....

Lyrics to come into motion
Lyric writing
At this moment in time
Comes at a slow struggle
But I'm going to break through
And free this muzzle
My thoughts are scattered and unassured
But the more I write and find my voice
My insecurities will be released and secure
This barrier I have to break through
This loss for starting and hesitating
Until I come to a point in my career
Where there won't be ant procrastinating
With each day that passes,
the process I undertake gets a little easier.
A find a little more confidence in myself,
and it won't be such a stir.
Every thought that comes to mind
I have to jot down
Never knowing where I find something worthwhile
that will give me wings to jet across the sound.
I'm moving in the right direction
I can feel it as I shout it out loud
The bells are starting to ring in my head
I'm on a roll nothing can stop me now.
Just one last thought
as I put tonight's pen to rest.
Someday it will become so automatic
And I'll feel like I can write with the best!
At this moment in time
Comes at a slow struggle
But I'm going to break through
And free this muzzle
My thoughts are scattered and unassured
But the more I write and find my voice
My insecurities will be released and secure
This barrier I have to break through

Until I come to a point in my career

A little story of the heart
Geese hover overhead
As I sit in this car
One thing may lead to another
And I'll end up looking at the stars
At the drop of a dime
My mind will change
I'll feel comfortable with one
Then all of a sudden it'll be strange
A glimpse into my heart
And you may see
A fragile confused mind
But all I just need is to be me
With a gentle touch
You may find
Someone you've looked for
And things won't seem so blind
A glimpse into my heart
There you will find
A glimpse into my heart
A soul that is just kind
A warm heart To be yours
a simple nod It's simple and just like that
I'll surrender it all for you
I'll stop all the confusion and come clean with one think on my mind
Take my hand
Take my heart
Take what you will
Just take it and I'll start
To put it down on paper
To write what I feel
To bear my heart & soul
To take it & run & steal
I'm not one
to let my emotions be seen
But with you
I'll let it all out & come clean
This may sound like a cleashae
This coming from an untrusted source
Just let me take your hand
And I'll guide your course
A Starbucks mug in hand
With a quiet pause
I can learn to love someone heart
Someone like yours
I'll fight a strong battle
To gain your trust
I'll lay it all on the line
I'll lay it all down if I must
GPS to guide my whereabouts
On this unseen path
But I'll see to it
That this time it'll last
I've tossed and turned
Laying in my bed at night
With no one to call on
To comfort me from my fright
Just give me your undivided attention
And you'll see in cincear
With these few words I write down
Everything will become oh so clear

For a time there was a sparkle in her eye...
For a time there was a sparkle in her eyes,
There was nothing else that I wanted otherwise,
A the years moved past,
And everything was a joy with her,
Time moved so fast,
And I found a best friend in her,
Someone who I can spend the rest of my life with is what I found,
To my surprise I tore it all down,
On that train ride home from our second date,
I opened my mouth with fury and an explosion of words ripped through our souls,
I was out of control,
I was out of line,
But the damage was I didn't win,
I'd have have to face the consequences of what I've done,
Two people with sparkles in their eyes,
Turned sour never to be the same,
I sat in my car crying as I saw her tail lights pull out of the parking lot,
I broke down,
And cryer for mercy,
But there was none to be found,
An apology the next day I gave,
For my behavior the night before,
Apology unaccepted,
No forgiveness is what I found,
That was that last time I spoke to her,
Devastated by what I've done,
By the end of the week I wanted life no more,
I took a bottle of pills and prayed for it to all be over,
Suicide was the option I chose to end all the pain,
But I woke up the next day as life continued on,
But my sweetheart was no more,
She move a thousand miles away,
She got married, had a family,
While I'm still here picking up the pieces of this broken heart.
Sometimes it's easy to forget,
Sometimes I'm filled with remorse and regret,
She still has that sparkle in her eyes,
Just mine have faded, and all I can do is cry.

Love is Love
Time will have its way
One day your fine
The next not so
But love is the cure
It can mend it can heal
There is relief just in the room next door
Love is love
Where you find it you never know
In the arms of a gentle kiss
Love is love
You could be a wreck'
The world could be crashing downOne thing after another
Suddenly you feel like you'll drown
But with a gentle whisper
A simple gaze into another's eyes
Everything will flip upside down
And you'll wake up fine
Love is love
Where you find it you never know
In the arms of a gentle kiss
Love is love
You'll fight through the madness
You'll pull for the underdog
Love concours all
And that's a fact
Love is love
Where you find it you'll never know
In the arms of a gentle kiss
